Pressure City (ft. Dan Menard)
Spotify
Background: I was trying to get into writing music for video games and I came up with a bunch of songs as a showcase of my writing abilities. The songs included Which Way Now, Clockshop, Ferry Good and Pressure City. It was always done in a rock style but originally it sounded a lot denser. After I found not much luck and after I quickly worked out that the game music industry was so completely saturated I gave up exploring that route entirely.
I was trying to find collaborations like normal when I came across Dan Menard who was doing some transformers covers. The exact logic of why I thought this song would be a good fit for him is probably because it has some very nice guitar patterns which weren't overly complicated. Since I can't really play or record instruments very well I outsourced the work all the way to the other side of the world in order to make it more interesting.
Mr Menard has since told me that he would love to work with me again at some point in the future so I strongly believe there will be a sequel if not more.
